Do not be alarmed as this is nothing new. The Gospels read that if a man sees a woman with lust he's already committed adultery in his heart, so this thought bullshit is not new at all, just same old dogma modeled after our 'rules Book'.
The normal JW/person knows we cannot control thoughts, just like we cannot control dreams, etc. What we CAN control is not marinating/basking/caressing an inappropriate thought, for this is what leads to the 'act'.
No person can control thoughts that arise in the mind, it's part of our human imperfection. It's impossible and I'm sure God knows this too.
So, do not go too crazy about it.

hi new to this forum but not so new to ttatt.
i was just wondering how nice it would be to know each other in real life.
i have got few friends in jw who are fully awake but still hanging because of family.
That's what Apostafests are for, isn't it?
Also, I believe we absolutely know who's an awakened JW; it manifests itself in their behavior, speech, demeanor.

just finished a walk today i came onto a happy family group of all the generations celebrating a tiny ones birthday.
they all sang ..happy birthday and i sang with my bass baritone the chorus, .."why was she born so beautiful why was she born at all.." silly words but they are happy words.
the family cheered their pleasure at this outsider joining in.
God has his glory and nothing/nobody can take that away no matter what the act. However, along with the WTBTS reason, here's how I reason out my somewhat agreement with the 'birthday ban' of this Org:
Birthdays in my family are acknowledged in a very private setting: We'd go out to dinner, out shopping, or some other activity and rejoice with the person, tell stories about their life, etc., all in a very familiar/private setting; also know of other JW families that observe their loved ones' birthdays this way as well.
I'm okay with it this way, contrary to the common practice of society at large.

can't believe i haven't been on this site in so long.
i always enjoyed reading what was posted.
i have been on you tube and checking out ceder's channel.
I believe in creation; a single creator?... Hmmm... Doubt it.
Creator(s) moved on carelessly to other projects while we continue to destroy ourselves and our planet.
Welcome back!

read the news here.
the jehovah's witnesses lost their appeal to the supreme court of russia.
bethel to be liquidated.. i bet the gb saw this coming ... here comes the persecution complex paranoia.
Oh, the suffering of the rank and file... The jail sentences, the physical abuse. I am so saddened by the needless attacks that will continue to take place.
Such attacks surely will not be endured by the GB, their helpers or anyone in the upper echelons of this Org.
So very sad.

this is one of the last things you are expected to do.
in a society that creates you to go home and watch the kardashians.
in an economic system where the currency trust is wavering on a private banking system.
Too long.

for those of you who are still in because of family circumstances, what do you do about field service?
do you still go regularly, sporadically or not at all?.
if you do still go, how do you manage?
My field service is done in a way that does NOT result in any converts; very vague and generic, if anyone shows interest, never follow up.

i heard through the grapevine about a forthcoming book:.
together through the great tribulation - come to jehovah's mountain.
still awaiting solid confirmation though.
I want to think of the book of Revelations as a result of a mushroom trip John experienced when in that island. The stuff in it is quite psychedelic-trippie-like.😆

have you ever had a dog that was dumber than a box of rocks?
i have; his name was dave matthews.

Too hairy, though.
